THE GLENCOE TRUST LIMITED
Changing lives in the outdoors

The Glencoe Trust Limited owns and operates the Glencoe Outdoor Centre
Situated in the West Highlands of Scotland and set amongst the spectacular mountain and loch scenery of Glencoe, an area of outstanding natural beauty, the Glencoe Outdoor Centre is a residential holiday and outdoor activity training centre welcoming, individuals, families, school parties and groups of all ages.
Once you have chosen a programme from the wide range available, or if you wish to find out further details, then please contact us by e-mail, phone or fax.
The Centre is licensed by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority and we are a recognised RYA Training Centre.
The Team
The Centre is family run and staffed by an enthusiastic team of young committed Christians. Our aim is to provide fun-filled, challenging activities in a relaxed Christian atmosphere, with safety our paramount consideration. Our evening programme of games and activities normally include a presentation or short sketch on a Christian theme and our staff team enjoy sharing their faith with everyone who is interested. A unique feature of our Centre is the role of Group Instructor (GI). A GI is assigned to each activity group of up to eight participants at the beginning of the course, and remains with them until the end, thereby providing an environment of caring continuity for the group. For activities requiring a second, appropriately qualified, lead instructor for the activity, there will be two instructors for each group of up to eight participants.
Facilities and Equipment
The Centre is located in historic Glencoe Village, its grounds skirted by the River Coe and with views over Loch Leven. We have our own ski school, a loch-side water sports park, and our Centre is situated amongst the best mountaineering terrain in the UK.
Centre accommodation is hostel style with 7 guest bedrooms sleeping from 2 to 8 in adult sized bunk beds (Maximum 35 people) and separate male and female shower/wash rooms, with a two new shower rooms for leaders. There is a large dining room/function room, a comfortable lounge and large drying room.
The Glencoe Trust Limited
Our charitable company appeals to individuals, companies and grant making trusts for money for both the Bursary Fund and the Capital Fund. The bursary fund grants bursaries to allow young people to attend courses at the Centre, who would otherwise be unable to afford the full cost. The capital fund raises money to improve facilities and purchase equipment for the Centre. If you would like to support this important work by joining our 365 Prayer & Support Initiative and receive regular newsletters please contact the Trust Secretary at the Centre.
